Instructions
Melt 2 tbsp of the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the shallots and garlic and cook, stirring occasionally, until translucent, about 5 minutes.
Reduce heat to low, and stir in the remaining ingredients. Simmer the sauce uncovered 10-15 minutes, or until the desired thickness is reached. Strain the sauce through a fine mesh sieve, working through with a spoon. Stir in the remaining 1/2 tbsp butter and serve. Store in the refrigerator for up to a week!
